Short Take: Road Runner to launch in Kansas City

Road Runner, the cable modem service of Time Warner and MediaOne Group, will launch during the second quarter in Kansas City, Missouri, using Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS)-compliant modems for the first time once they are certified by CableLabs. The new service deployment, via Time Warner Cable of Kansas City, will be Road Runner's first in Missouri and could reach as many as 357,000 homes.
