RealNetworks made a preview version of its RealSystem G2 multimedia player available for download. The G2 player, announced last month, offers support for multimedia file formats such as AVI, JPEG, MPEG, and WAV in addition to Real's own proprietary formats. G2 also features SmartStream technology, which measures available bandwidth and streams accordingly, according to the company.
