Radius has begun shipping its EditDV 1.0 program for end-to-end, nonlinear digital editing on the Macintosh. Used with DV (digital video) cameras and the included Firewire connector card, EditDV features a variety of digital effects and also offers the ability to play back edited video in a special preview mode for faster viewing. The software and hardware package costs $999. Current PhotoDV and MotoDV customers can upgrade for $499.
