Short Take: Qwest's Nacchio adds chairman to title

Qwest Communications International chief executive Joseph Nacchio has been appointed as chairman of the company under a management restructuring. Nacchio will no longer serve as president of the telecommunications carrier. Qwest has begun a search to fill the newly created position of president and chief operating officer. Nacchio will continue to serve as president--in addition to his roles as chairman and CEO--until a president and an operating chief is named.
