Short Take: Qwest completes Canadian network

Qwest Communications International has completed construction of a 4,300-mile fiber optic network in Canada. Combined with its U.S. network, Qwest owns and operates more than 24,000 miles of fiber in North America and also is building a European network and a series of metropolitan networks in the United States. Qwest plans to add Web hosting centers in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, British Columbia.
