Short Take: Price Waterhouse to acquire minority interest in Origin

Management consultant Price Waterhouse has signed a letter of intent with Philips Electronics to acquire a minority interest in its subsidiary, Origin B.V., a $1.5 billion global consulting and technology organization. Price Waterhouse and Origin formed a strategic alliance earlier this year to market and deliver third-party software, systems integration, management consulting, and related business-process consulting services worldwide. Through this latest joint venture, Price Waterhouse and Origin will provide information technology, change management, and business-process outsourcing services to global clients.
