Plasmon Data shipped its DW 260 magneto-optical drives based on LIMDOW (light intensity modulation direct overwrite) technology. The drives include a 4MB buffer and integration software that allows data interchange between Macintosh, Windows 3.x, and Windows 95 platforms. The drives are priced at $1,995 for an external unit and $1,895 for an internal one.
