Short Take: Pixar appoints new CFO

Pixar Animation Studios has named Ann Mather executive vice president and chief financial officer. Mather, who has 18 years of financial operations experience, will report to Pixar chief executive Steve Jobs. She worked for seven years with Walt Disney, most recently as senior vice president of finance and administration at the Buena Vista International Theatrical Division. Mather also has held senior financial management positions at Paramount Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures.
