Linux Computer maker Penguin Computing has hired Maria Riley to manage its computer manufacturing operations, the company said. Rile previously worked on the manufacturing supply chain for Compaq and did similar work for IBM, Ingram Micro and Hewlett-Packard, the company said. At Penguin Computing, she will work to speed the addition of new products while reducing costs at the company's manufacturing plant in the San Francisco area.
