Short Take: ParaGraph announces handwriting recognition software for handhelds

ParaGraph PI Technology announced an upgrade to its handwriting recognition software for handheld computers. CalliGrapher 5.0, intended for Windows CE-based PCs, allows users to input data by writing directly on the screen of their handheld, an alternative to typing on the handheld's small-scale keyboard. Version 5.0 also adds a new screen draw mode and recognizes cursive or printed characters, or a mixture. The suggested retail price is $49.95.
