Short Take: Outsourcing group grabs new members

The ASP Industry Consortium announced that 31 more companies have signed on with the organization. The consortium, announced in May of this year, hopes to spur the market for the outsourcing of technology services such as email by telecom companies. The organization, which already includes industry heavyweights such as Sun Microsystems and Cisco Systems, added the likes of Lucent Technologies and Microsoft, among others.
