Short Take: Opera Software updates browser

Opera Software has released a trial, or "beta," version of its Web browser for the Windows operating system. The Norwegian browser, which trails distantly in market share behind free browsers from Microsoft and Netscape Communications, costs $35. Prior versions of Opera exist for Macintosh, BeOS and Linux systems. Opera, which has won plaudits from advocacy groups for its adherence to industry standards, now includes an email client.
