Short Take: Onebox.com gets cash, callbacks

Onebox.com, a provider of Internet-based messaging services, announced today that it had closed a $50 million round of funding, bringing the company's total private investment to nearly $70 million. The firm also added a key new Internet voice component to its service, allowing recipients of Web-based voice mail to dial their callers back through their PCs. That feature will be provided by Internet telephony firm ITXC, which has also agreed to co-market Onebox's services to its own communications clients.
