Short Take: Okidata ships new color printer

Okidata introduced a color inkjet printer with individual cartridges for all four colors used in the traditional mix of cyan, yellow, black, and magenta. The Okijet 2020 is designed to avoid wasting ink in cartridges that become unusable after only one of the four colors runs out. The 2020 prints at 600-by-600 dots per inch, at a rate of four ppm in black and white and 1 ppm in color. The printer will be available for an estimated retail price of $249.
