Short take: Nvidia digs deeper with Microsoft

Graphics chip maker Nvidia said today that it would work closely with Microsoft to develop the next generation of Direct X instructions, which are used to enhance 3D applications and graphics. Microsoft has incorporated Nvidia graphics chips into the beta versions of its Xbox, a game console that will attempt to compete against Sony's PlayStation 2, sources have said.
