Short Take: Novell files suit

Novell has filed lawsuits in the Northern District of California district court against two resellers alleging that the companies illegally obtained new Novell products and resold them to users. The two resellers--L.G Company and Super Resources--were caught in the alleged scheme by Novell's internal database that tracks licenses and product upgrade serial numbers. The companies allegedly used previously allocated serial numbers as identification for the upgraded products.
