Short Take: Nordstrom.com to offer gift registry

Nordstrom and gift retailer The Wedding List announced today an exclusive agreement to offer gift registry services through Nordstrom.com and in select stores, marking the department store chain's first foray into wedding and gift services. Through the deal, the companies will launch a cobranded site in the second quarter of this year. Customers of the site will be able to register for and buy gifts both online and off. New York-based The Wedding List offers gifts from more than 200 manufacturers. Nordstrom, based in Seattle, is making a $1.5 million investment in The Wedding List.
