Short Take: Network Alchemy to release VPN system

Network Alchemy today announced a virtual private networking (VPN) system for large companies and network service providers. The VPN system, which runs on a proprietary operating system, allows companies to cluster up to 255 servers, the company said today at ComNet. The system includes VPN servers with dual 400MHz Intel Pentium II processors and Triple DES encryption at 100 Mbps. Network Alchemy will begin shipping the system in the second quarter.
