Netscape Communications hired the former president of The Well, Maria Wilhelm, as senior vice president of programming for
Netscape's ongoing portal effort Netcenter. She will be oversee strategy and development of the portal's programming, services and content. Wilhelm will report directly to Mike Homer, executive vice president and general manager of Netcenter.
