Short Take: Netscape briefly releases final browser

Netscape Communications has briefly released the final version of its Web browser. The unit of America Online acknowledged that it had posted Netscape 6 to external servers, but said that posting was a routine part of its testing process and that the browser was no longer available. Netscape 6, which is available in its third "beta," or test version, is scheduled for final release by the end of the year.
