Short Take: NEC cuts flat-panel, conventional monitor prices

NEC again cut prices on flat-panel monitors, lowering one 14-inch model to below the symbolic $1,000 price point. The LCD400V falls to $999 from $1,199, while the LCD400 drops to $1,199 from $1,499. Two 15-inch models were lowered by $200 each, to $1,299 and $1,599. Separately, NEC dropped its conventional, 15-inch MultiSync 50 monitor to $199 and its 17-inch MultiSync 70 to $379.
