Short Take: NCR announces servers

NCR announced two entry-level servers, the S26XL and the S26XLP. Customers choose single or dual 133-MHz or 166-MHz Intel Pentium processors. The S26 servers can also support one or two 166-MHz or 200-MHz Pentium Pro processors. Administrators can replace server components such as hard drives or backup tape drives while the server is still active, which minimizes downtime. The S26 servers are available for NT or Unix. Prices range from $11,750 for a single processor system to $16,150 for a two-processor system.
