Short Take: Nasdaq, TheStreet.com Track E-Commerce Stocks

The Nasdaq-Amex Stock Exchange and TheStreet.com have created an e-commerce index that tracks 15 Internet retailers. Included in the index are Amazon.com, Ameritrade, Barnes & Noble, BroadVision, CDnow (soon to merge with N2K, which appears on the index as well) E*Trade, eBay, Egghead.com, Hollywood Entertainment (which operates Reel.com), Micro Warehouse, Peapod, Preview Travel, Onsale and National Media, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange.
