Short Take: MSN suffers weekend email outage

Microsoft Network members on the MSN's newest and oldest systems experienced email outages for about 24 hours, ending Sunday afternoon. Members on MSN's latest version, MSN 2.5--which was promoted in part for its great email system--and members of MSN Classic, the original proprietary MSN service, whose last names begin with "B" were unable to receive email, said an MSN spokesman. He said the events were caused by hardware problems that were unrelated.
