Short Take: Motion to dismiss Priceline's suit
Microsoft and online travel site Expedia filed a motion to dismiss Priceline's patent suit against the two companies, on the basis that the Stamford, Connecticut-based company failed to name in the suit a company with which its patent is currently in dispute. Priceline filed suit against Microsoft and Expedia in October, alleging Expedia's price matching service for hotel rooms violated its patent on online name-your-price services.
