Short Take: MoneyXpress brings Net banking to Texas

Seven companies formed an alliance to bring Internet banking to 700 community banks in Texas. CFI ProServices, CompUS A, Mesa Internet Systems, Microsoft, PRIMEVEST Financial Services, PULSE EFT Association, Southwestern Bell, and Visa Interactive will offer Internet banking, bill paying, and brokerage services through a service to be called "MoneyXpress." A multibank version of CFI's online-banking software will enable the community banks to sign onto the service without having to purchase hardware or software.
