Short Take: Mobil accepts bill payments over Internet

Mobil credit card holders will soon be able to pay their bills over the Internet as well as by mail, according to a Reuters report. National Processing, which handles mailed bills for Mobil, is using its new Virtual PAY process for Internet-based payments, the Louisville-based company said in a joint statement with Mobil. Payment information is sent in code in such a way that it cannot be read, received, or intercepted by anyone other than National Processing, the companies said.
