Microsoft will post another security fix next week for Windows NT that will protect the NT registry. The feature will be included in the third service pack for the OS, now in beta testing. The feature was originally slated for the next upgrade of NT early next year but was moved up after a security firm reported a glitch that could let a hacker access the registry. Microsoft officials say the security breach allows unauthorized users who gains access to the registry to view only "benign" data. Unauthorized users cannot change any information.
