Microsoft sought feedback from selected software developers with a sneak peak of Internet Explorer 6, the version-in-progress of its Web browser. The preview of IE 6 comes on the heels of Microsoft's releasing IE 5.5 Service Pack 1 and Internet Tools, with expanded support for Web standards. America Online's Netscape unit, currently marketing a version 4.x browser, has pledged to release its version 6 browser by year's end, skipping the version 5 designation altogether.
