Short Take: Microsoft posts Web server bug fix

Microsoft posted software that eliminates a vulnerability in its Internet Information Server product. The bug left the product's file transfer protocol feature vulnerable to "denial of service" attacks, as well as attacks using malicious "list" commands. Internet Information Server is software for running Web sites on Microsoft's Windows NT.
