Micron Electronics recently began
shipping Pentium II versions of its thin-and-light notebook series. The
GoBook II weighs 4.5 pounds in a 1.35-inch-thick case, and begins with a
233-MHz Pentium II chip, 2.1GB hard drive, and a 12.1-inch screen for
$3,099. A 266-MHz model goes for $3,299. The GoBook II comes with an
internal battery, while a $299 optional battery slice attaches to the
notebook's base.
