Short Take: MediaOne, Time Warner swap cable systems

MediaOne Group and Time Warner Cable, two of the nation's largest cable television operators, have finalized a previously announced trade of regional systems serving more than 600,000 customers. MediaOne received about 240,000 customers in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, plus some cash. Time Warner got about 270,000 customers in Ohio and 10,000 subscribers in Maine. Both companies are partners in the Road Runner cable modem-based Internet service.
