Short Take: McAfee wins military contract

Antivirus software vendor McAfee Associates has won a $2 million contract with the Defense Information Systems Agency to supply antivirus software to 2 million desktops in the U.S. military over the next five years. MacAfee said the award came after a review of at least 16 vendors' offerings. Also, MacAfee also has introduced WebScanX, which protects desktop PCs from hostile ActiveX controls and Java applets.
