Short Take: Maxtor hard drive sets capacity record

Hard drive manufacturer Maxtor announced it has set a capacity record with its new 80-GB Diamond Max 80 drive. The new drive uses four 20-GB platters and is capable of data transfer rates of up to 100 MB per second. The product will be available next month.
