Short Take: Matsushita licenses ARM processor

Advanced Risc Machines (ARM) licensed its 32-bit RISC processor core to Matsushita. The Japanese electronics manufacturer will create chips for the mobile communication and intelligent device market. Through the license, Matsushita will be able to develop processor cores that combine processor intelligence and multimedia functions. Matsushita will use the .25-micron process for these chips.
