Short Take: Marriott hotels to offer high-speed Net

Marriott International, a major hotel operator, will install high-speed Internet access in at least 100 hotels by year-end. Using a system from Suite Technology Systems Network that utilizes existing copper phone wires, Marriott expects to offer speeds up to 50 times faster than most dial-up modems. Marriott will begin installing the systems in October and expects to have high-speed Net access in more than 500 hotels by the end of 2000.
