Short Take: Lotus names new execs

Lotus Development has named Nick Shelness chief technology officer and James Fieger as executive vice president of world wide field operations, a position he has held on an acting basis since last October. Shelness has been with Lotus since 1994 and has served as chief messaging architect of Lotus's Communications Product Division, where he worked to integrate Internet protocols into the company's Notes/Domino, cc:Mail, and Organizer products, according to Lotus.
