Short Take: Logitech to buy QuickCam

Mouse maker Logitech will buy Connectix's hardware business unit for $25 million. The deal includes the popular QuickCam digital camera and QuickClip device for capturing video stills from a camcorder or VCR. Logitech also makes trackballs, keyboards, joysticks, and other game controllers. The sale is subject to regulatory approval and does not include Connectix's RAM Doubler or Speed Doubler software products.
