Short Take: Java appeal set for June 16

Microsoft's appeal of a preliminary injunction in its battle with Sun Microsystems is set to be heard on June 16, the software giant said today. The injunction was issued in November and requires Microsoft to modify a number of its products so they comply with a license for using Sun's Java programming language. In papers filed in January with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, Microsoft argued the injunction "grievously harms" computer users.
