J.D. Edwards is getting new leadership. The Denver, Colorado-based maker of business automation software will now be run by Douglas Massingill, 41, former chief operating officer. Massingill takes over as chief executive and president for Edward McVaney, 57, the founder of the firm, who will remain as chairman of the board. McVaney is retiring from the day-to-day operation of the company he and two former coworkers founded in 1977.
