The MobileScan produces maximum resolutions of up to 9600 x 9600 dpi, or dots per inch, the company said. The MobileScan also has built-in power saving technology to maximize the number of scans per battery charge. The MobileScan is expected to begin shipping in April 1999. It is expected to have a retail shelf price of $199.99.
