E-commerce software provider InterWorld has endorsed the Open Buying on the Internet (OBI) protocol, published in June by the OBI Consortium. The group includes Fortune 500 purchasers and suppliers and was sponsored by American Express. OBI is designed to standardize business-to-business commerce over the Internet so systems for buyers and sellers can interoperate. Other e-commerce endorsers include, Connect, Microsoft, Oracle, Actra, InteliSys, and Open Market.
