Intersolv reported improved second-quarter profits and a 12 percent rise in revenues. An application enablement software maker, Intersolv posted net earnings of $1.4 million, or 7 cents a share, for the quarter ended October 31, compared with a net loss of $9.9 million or 51 cents a share a year ago. But the company in the second quarter a year ago took a one-time acquisition charge of $11.6 million before taxes. Revenues, meanwhile, rose to $37.7 million for the quarter, up from $33.7 million a year earlier.
