Short Take: Intel invests in $1.3 billion Samsung memory plant

Intel is investing an undisclosed amount in Samsung's $1.3 billion advanced semiconductor memory fabrication plant in Austin, Texas. Under terms of the agreement, Samsung will supply Intel with memory products. The plant will produce 25,000 DRAM chip wafers per month when it reaches full capacity.
