Intel announced the expansion of its software development center based in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. The center currently employs over 100 software subcontractors and is expected to grow to 500 permanent employees in the next three to five years. The workers will concentrate on strengthening Intel's "performance libraries," mathematical libraries used in digital signal processing, speech recognition and image processing.
