Short Take: Inktomi to launch ICQ search engine

As previously reported, Web search technology provider Inktomi will power the new ICQ search engine, Inktomi has announced. The engine, which will be integrated as a link in ICQ's menu bar, will provide Web searches as well as searches of ICQ users. The new version of ICQ, called ICQ 99a, will launch in a matter of weeks, Inktomi said.
