Short Take: IBM unit wins computer-services contract

IBM Global Services has won a 10-year computer-services contract from National Account Service Company (NASCO), the health claims processor for Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans. The contract, valued at more than $300 million, calls for IBM Global to upgrade NASCO's claims-processing system so that employees and insurance members can access their claims status and other information via the Web. IBM will provide application-management support for the system.
