Internet telephony carrier iBasis announced a second-quarter loss of $13.3 million, or 39 cents per share, compared to a net loss of $4.6 million, or 27 cents a share, during the same period last year. Analysts had predicted a loss of 52 cents per share, according to First Call/Thomson Financial. Second-quarter revenue rose 276 percent, from $3.6 million last year to $13.6 million this year.
