About 20 percent of Hotmail's customers were unable to send or receive their email for five hours today, due to a minor server glitch, according to a company spokeswoman. About 5 percent of users are still down, but the problem has been fixed and the service should be fully functional shortly, the company said. The free email service, owned by Microsoft, has more than 9 million members.
