Short Take: Health information firms form ethics alliance

A group of online health information providers has formed an alliance to develop standards designed to ensure that consumers are provided with health information that is reliable, safe, and trustworthy. The alliance, called Health Internet Ethics (Hi-Ethics), includes representatives from America Online, CareInsite, Drkoop.com, HealthCentral.com, Healtheon and WebMD, HealthGate, Medscape, OnHealth, Women.com, and others.
